As we enter Holy Week, our school community pauses to reflect on the sacred journey that leads us to the joy of Easter. It is a meaningful time in our faith that invites us to slow down, pray, and remember the great love and sacrifice at the heart of our Christian story.
This past week was filled with wonderful moments of learning and discovery across campus. Our students embraced hands-on science during Dissection Day, approaching their experiments with curiosity, respect, and a true spirit of inquiry. Experiences like these help students deepen their understanding of the incredible complexity of God’s creation. A special thank you to Ms. Spillert, Mrs. Alina Sanchez, and the CCHS Boys for organizing and making this incredible learning experience possible for our students. Their time, preparation, and support helped create a truly memorable day in our science classrooms.
Our Book Fair brought excitement to the hallways as students eagerly browsed shelves, discovered new stories, and strengthened their love of reading. Thank you to Mrs. Gallan, her group of volunteers and all the families who supported this special event and helped foster a lifelong appreciation for books.
Meanwhile, our 4th grade students enjoyed a memorable field trip to Shark Valley, where they experienced the beauty of the Everglades firsthand. From observing wildlife to exploring the unique ecosystem that surrounds us here in South Florida, it was a wonderful opportunity to bring classroom learning to life while appreciating the wonders of nature.
We also celebrate our Track & Field teams for their outstanding performances this week. Our Varsity Girls Track & Field team earned an impressive 2nd place finish, and our Varsity Boys team secured 3rd place. We are so proud of their hard work, dedication, and the way they represented our school with such determination and sportsmanship.
As we look ahead, we are also preparing for the start of Spring Break next week. We hope this time provides our families with an opportunity to rest, spend time together, and return refreshed for the final stretch of the school year.
May this Holy Week be a time of reflection, gratitude, and renewed faith for our entire school community. Even in the quiet moments of this sacred season, we are reminded that the joy and hope of Easter is always just beyond the cross.
